Selenium IDE - Install and configure

Open firefox browser and type the following address in the address bar: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/selenium-ide/ You will see the following screen. Click on "Add to firefox" button.

After that you will see the following screen asking for Add or cancel. Click on "Add"

After that you will see a message that Selenium IDE has been added to firefox on the topmost right corner of the screen.

On the top most right corner of the page, you will see a Selenium icon as shown by arrow in the screen. That means selenium has been installed on you server.

Click on the selenoum icon, and you will see the following screen.

You have 4 options.

1) Record a new test in new project: If there is no test case or if there is no project choose this and continue.

2) Open an existing project: If you have an existing project and want to open that project we can choose this option and continue.

3) Create a new project: If you want to create a new project irrespective of whether you have a project already, choose this option and continue.

4) Close Selenium IDE: If you want to close Selenium IDE, choose this option. Selenium GUI is visible in the background, it will be closed.

I have chosen option 1: i-e Record a new test in new project: and it will take you to the following screen.

Provide a project name and click on OK and it will take you to the following screen.

Provide a web address and it will take you to the following screen.
